The Samsung BP96-01795A is a high quality TV lamp module. This replacement lamp includes the original, OEM bulb inside a new housing. Brightness and lamp life should be the same as it was for the lamp that came with the new TV.
After installing new bulb, the lamp timer needs to be reset. Please consult your owner's manual for information on resetting the lamp timer.
