Happy Earth Day month from all of us at Topbulb!
April has been one of my busiest months of the year, but I want to take time in between my endless meetings to tell you about some of the great developments in the company.
Topbulb.com Is Mobile-Friendly
One of the areas our site was lacking was in the mobile experience. We knew it was something we would have to tackle eventually, but we finally went full steam ahead this month and got it accomplished.
If you visit www.topbulb.com from your iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, or other mobile device, you’ll see a stripped-down, easier-to-navigate version of our main site. But we didn’t remove any of the valuable content you need to make decisions if a light bulb is right for you.
We know there are some bugs to fix and improvements to make, and we have a whole shopping list of things left to do. The new mobile shopping experience is much faster and easier than trying to navigate the regular web site on a phone. And I’m always happy to implement immediately any ideas our customers email me with.
Earth Day Event
We participated in a local Earth Day Event at the Porter County Expo Center, and had a great time setting up and meeting everyone there. A lot of people who had never heard of us now know a little more about Topbulb, energy-efficient lighting, and LED bulbs.
Educating the local market is one of the community service activities we have the most fun with. It’s great to meet our neighbors, whether homeowners in the area or other businesses who share our passion for sustainability, energy efficiency, and improving our quality of life on Earth.
Trade Show Tour
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be at some popular industry trade shows, including NAILD and Lightfair. It should be a great time catching up with our vendors, finding new products to add to the site, and learning from veterans of the lighting industry.
